The POLARIS-MA45/M is a 45° mounting adapter designed by Thorlabs for securely positioning Ø1" or Ø25 mm Polaris mirror mounts at a 45° angle relative to an optical table, breadboard, or work surface. Constructed from heat-treated 303 stainless steel, it offers high stability and minimal thermal hysteresis, making it suitable for precision optical applications.
This adapter features an M4 tap on the 45° face for attaching the mirror mount and an M6 tap on the base for mounting to Ø25 mm posts. Additionally, it includes two Ø2 mm alignment pinholes for precise positioning in custom or OEM systems.
The POLARIS-MA45/M is compatible with cleanroom and vacuum environments down to 10⁻⁹ Torr at 25 °C with proper bake-out procedures. Its design ensures that when used with standard Ø25 mm Polaris mounts, the optic center is positioned 50 mm above the base of the adapter.
